Praying Psalm 18

Heavenly Father,

I lift my voice to You in praise for You are my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. You are worthy of all honor and glory, and I exalt Your name above all other names.

In times of distress, I call upon You and You hear my cry. You reach down from on high and rescue me, drawing me out of the depths and setting me on solid ground. You are my shield and my stronghold, my refuge in times of trouble. With You I am safe from the attacks of my enemies, and I am confident in Your protection.

You are my strength and my song, the source of my salvation. In Your strength I can overcome any obstacle, and with Your help I can scale any wall. I praise You Lord, for You are my light in the darkness guiding my steps and leading me on the path of righteousness. You give me with strength and make my way perfect before you.

Thank You Lord, for Your steadfast love and faithfulness. You are my rock of refuge, my shield and my salvation. I will sing praises to Your name forevermore. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
